Variations 1
In this series I augmented the microcomposing techniques of Orchestrion with live sequence remixing via the remarkable Yamaha RM1x. Loading an Akai S5000 with the microtracks, I mixed these on the fly in the studio in long improv jams.
Afterwards I tried to edit them down, but it never felt right. My friend Rob Holt, an experienced improv musician, said I should just release them as is, so here they are.
